The media has done a great job making the ideal more desirable than perhaps ever before and for those of us who feel like we look nothing like it, the journey there can be a long and frustrating one.Who doesn’t want to be told that they’re glowing? I have always had very dry and sensitive skin. Acne was never an issue for me but if I ever did get a pimple most definitely an unsightly dark spot would follow. We all love instant gratification but when it comes to skincare patience is usually a requirement.
As the science behind skincare continues to evolve we are buying more and more products and giving them less and less time to work. I too am guilty of this. You should see my dressing table. I am now occupying about a quarter of my husband’s share of the space as well.I recently discovered the siskyn skincare brand and have been using it for a few months. My favourite product from their line is the award winning rosehip and tamanu scars and stretch mark body oil here.It retails at £34 but there are sometimes sales and discount codes available to get it cheaper. (Yup I bought it on sale)
Skin needs hydration from the inside out. I tend to avoid harsh ingredients and fragrances and go for the more organic and natural alternative. These are a few reasons why I love this brand.
- Siskyn is a 100% Natural luxury vegan skincare line.
- It is suitable for all skin types.
- Highly moisturising. You feel the difference on your skin almost instantly. I apply it on damp skin to seal in the moisture.
- The packaging is really cute. Oils come in clear glass bottles sized to be used within 4-5 months.
It goes on smoothly and has a slight citrusy scent. The beauty of this product is the combination of ingredients. With no essential oils this gem offers 12 pure essential plant oils roseship, tamanu, calendula, wheatgerm, sea buckthorn, hemp, peach kernel, safflower, flax, sunflower, avocado and hazelnut. Overall as a moisturiser it is superb. I have not noticed significant changes in my stretch marks but some of my scars do appear lighter and overall my skin loves it. I don’t usually spend that much on a body oil but this one is worth it and the owners Sarah and Emma are absolutely lovely and they will answer any questions you may have before you buy.
